Plans are underway for a new $75 million resort at Dreamworld including a hotel and tourist park.

Dreamworld has entered into an agreement with accommodation developer Evolution Group to fund and build the resort adjacent to the park.

The new accommodation offering will include a 4-star 250 room resort-style hotel, 40 bungalows and a 5-star tourist park with 100 powered sites. 

The first part of Sea World's $50 million The New Atlantis expansion is now complete, with new thrill ride Vortex opening to guests.

First announced in May 2019, the new Suspended Top Spin model from Huss was delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

This new attraction takes guests on a thrilling adventure as they experience forces of up to 5g, speeds of 30 km/h and a height of 18m.

The new development will include three new thrill rides; a Top Spin called Vortex, a Sky Flyer named Trident and an impressive wooden roller coaster titled Leviathan.

Dreamworld’s newest rollercoaster will be a 1.2km ride that reaches a top speed of 105km/h, featuring multiple inversions and hair-raising features. Steel Taipan opens in late 2021.

It will be the first triple launch rollercoaster in the Southern Hemisphere, based on the award-winning Blue Fire at Europa-Park, but with some new additions.

Luna Park Sydney has unveiled plans for a $30 million upgrade including the introduction of nine new rides and attractions.

Opening in 2021, the new rides will include six children’s rides; a thrill ride; a family coaster; and an anchor coaster – The Big Dipper – which will be the first inline seating launch roller coaster in the world.

The plans will transform the 85-year-old park into a world class amusement venue fit for the 21st century.

The park is now operating at a reduced capacity and it's recommended that visitors purchase entry tickets online.

Some of the rides, attractions and experiences are temporarily unavailable.

The park will be operating at 50% capacity and all guests will be required to download their entry tickets onto the Village Roadshow Theme Parks app for contactless entry and virtual queuing for the rides.
